Hail in the Camp

Hail in the Camp,

Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Bloodgarde, Paladin and Main Tank of the Late Knights of Quel’dorei (US). I have been challenged by several people of late to write a “guide to playing a paladin.” 30 some pages later, I give up. My idea of a paladin guide is somewhere in the 200-250 page range. There is just so much experience I have to share.

I was discussing this with a hunter friend of mine. She was telling me about the blog she recently started over at TheSpikedCollar.net. After a few days thought I decided that a blog may be the perfect way for me to put the information I have learned out there. So here I am. We will see what comes of this.

What are my qualifications you ask? I have played a Paladin for nearly 4 years. I leveled in original wow as a Tankadin back when Tankadins weren’t cool. I played both as a main tank, and main healer in Burning Crusade. During that time I started my own guild and began to grow it with intelligent and capable players. I successfully lead this guild into Karazhan toward the end of Burning Crusade.

In Wrath I once again find myself tanking, and at this point in time, am looking forward to duel specing as a healer. I will admit as of now, I have little experience with Ret. I will however be playing with the spec, and learning its ways so that I may speak with some knowledge about it here.

Also in WOW I have leveled a mage and am approaching 80 on him, a warrior (level 75), a hunter who is currently still level 70, and I have begun leveling a Druid.

I have a long gaming history that I won’t go into here. I the real world, I am a cartographer working in the oil and gas industry. Please read “I am a peon, I have no control over anything.”

So I look forward to writing my experience in this blog, and hope that indeed, someone finds it helpful. Look for my first real post soon.

May the Light be with You,
~Bloodgarde
